iOS 7 is probably the OS that has received the most scrutiny ever. Part of that is due to the fact that everything Apple does is always under a magnifying glass, but another part of it is due to the fact that Apple's iOS 6 was, for the most part, one of the best mobile OSs out there. So why change it? Simple: it was fusty and old-looking and in desperate need of a visual overhaul. BIG TIME.

Apple introduced its reimaging of iOS in September 2013, giving it a brand new look and some killer new features (admittedly, some were taken from Android). I had a love-hate relationship with iOS 7 when I first used it, but as you can read in my first review of it here, I thought Apple did a surprisingly good job overhauling the platform. So, just what can you expect when iOS 7.1 launches later this year? I scoured the net for screenshots of all the changes so far.Button shapes are back!

Yes, iOS 7 is supposed to be flat and sparse and that does make it look beautiful in a minimalistic way. But one of the things that annoyed many was iOS 7 did away with button shapes in favour of textual buttons essentially just labels. This caused a lot of confusion among people who weren't familiar with the layout of your average app UI and those hard of sight. Thankfully it looks like users will get a way to turn button shapes on in iOS 7.1. The setting is found under Accessibility in the Settings app and, once enabled, will have iOS 7 cast flat button shapes behind the textual buttons.Calendar List View is back too!

Read also:

iOS 7.1 Latest Update From Apple (Guardian Liberty Voice)

Explore: 2 additional articles.
