Now, if a prominent jailbreak developer is to be believed, upgrading to iOS 7.0.3 will not harm chances for jailbreaking the new OS in the coming days.
After Apple released iOS 7.0.3 on Tuesday, renowned iOS hacker MuscleNerd warned on Twitter that potential iOS 7 jailbreakers should avoid upgrading to the new firmware for the time being as it could patch any key loophole in the platform that may lead to a future jailbreak.
On Wednesday, MuscleNerd sent out two more tweets in which he confirmed that iOS 7.0.3 holds no risk for iOS 7 jailbreak hopefuls. The hacker wrote in his first tweet that the fix for the lock screen bug in iOS 7.0.3 would not impact the upcoming iOS 7 jailbreak.
Asked if it is safe to update to iOS 7.0.3, MuscleNerd replied: “If you’ve already lost the JB by upgrading to 7.x, then yep it’s fine to go from 7.0.x to 7.0.3.”
