Columbia, SC (WLTX) – Robots took over today during the third-annual South Carolina Robotics Invitational and Workshop Competition.

Twenty-three teams gathered to compete in this year’s frisbee-shooting, pyramid-climbing, and 3-on-3 challenge called Ultimate Ascent.

The teams were made up of high school students and engineering mentors. They built 120-pound robots in just six weeks to get a taste of the engineering and design process.
