Woodlawn High to host robotics competition Saturday

<p>Woodlawn High School will play host Saturday to a robotics competition that will pit the high school against Baton Rouge rival Parkview Baptist as well as as 18 teams from across the state as well as Texas, Mississippi and Arkansas.</p><p>The event is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 8 a.m. Competition ends at 4 p.m. Saturday.</p><p>"This is the first time that Baton Rouge has had anything of this caliber," said Ted Firnberg, vice president of the nonprofit Foundation for East Baton Rouge, which helped secure funding to put on the competition.</p><p>Called the Red Stick Rumble, the competition will feature 20 robots facing off in Woodlawn's gym.
