Apple’s management team must hate the name Sonny Dickson by now. The website continues to leak high resolution images of what look to be legitimate, near final components for upcoming Apple devices.
Recently Sonny has leaked images of the iPhone 5C, 5S, new iPad Mini, and today we get the front panel of the iPad 5. This is a panel we have seen before from a different source, which actually reinforces the fact this is probably a legitimate front panel. It also confirms that Apple is indeed moving to match the slimmer bezel already seen on the iPad mini.
A slimmer frame means we are likely going to get a lighter and hopefully thinner iPad 5 that still retains the Retina Display we have come to expect. Apple will also have to incorporate an intelligent way of recognizing and not registering a thumb sitting on the edge of the display.
Another thing to consider is the display lighting. Does the thinner bezel mean Apple has had to modify how it lights the screen? And what effect will that have on the overall quality and brightness?
