<p>JACKSON, MI The Jacktown Vectors robotics team has received a $10,000 grant from Michigan Automotive Compressor Inc.</p><p>"The FIRST Robotics program is top notch," Cheryl Norey, MACI spokeswoman, said in a press release. "We hope that students in FIRST Robotics will be future MACI interns and associates. Every aspect of the program from teamwork and cooperation, to measuring, testing, and building is well-engineered to train a person every company would like to hire."</p><p>The Jacktown Vectors, hosted by the Jackson Area Career Center and led by instructors William Farrant and John Riedeman, made their first appearance at the FIRST Robotics Competition state championships this year.</p><p>The team plans to use the money to grow and expand the STEM science, technology, engineering and math education offered to Jackson County middle and high school students through the FIRST Robotics program, the release said.</p><p><a href="http://www.mlive.com/news/jackson/index.ssf/2013/05/jacktown_vectors_first_robotic.html">Keep reading...</a></p>
