This is it. After five years, the Surfin’ with Bobby column is coming to an end.

In the half-decade that this column has run in The Sudbury Star, you and I have been on a wonderful journey discovering the enormity of the World Wide Web, its hidden treasures and its lessons for life.

It was on the web that we learned the history and meaning of myriad holidays and festive rituals, including the story behind this weekend, Easter, and how the date for Easter is set.

The web, and the various people who contribute to it, helped us create a Mac computer or “hackintosh,” with hardware designed for another operating system.
