Facebook is quite the dictator when it comes to changes in the design, UI and working of the social networking site. And if the latest Facebook invite is to be believed, there’s more change on the way.
2013 has perhaps been the year for maximum major Facebook changes from the launch of the Graph Search to a complete overhaul of the Timeline. And according to the latest press release being forwarded by Facebook, Facebook asks users to get ready for “A New Home on Android”.
Facebook has always been in speculation over Mark Zuckerberg’s interests in phones and many have often speculated seeing a Facebook phone in the near future. Does this invite hint at the same and mean that the Facebook phone will finally be a reality? If true, users might see a complete new Android interface with social networking at the core. We’re not exactly sure what a Facebook exclusive phone will bring to the table but with Android as an OS, the model will definitely be free and scalable for developers to play around with. If nothing else, a Facebook phone will definitely mean more connectivity with loved ones and staying in touch 24×7.
However, while a Facebook phone is still only under rumours and we see little chance of that becoming a reality anytime soon (blame it on our skeptical minds), two very viable possibilities present themselves to us. One is an all new, Android special Facebook app and the other is a Phone, not a Facebook phone, but a phone with Facebook functions at the core.
