Wifi up and running at Cassidy Park

An active civic volunteer who has donated years’ worth of hours and energy to more than one Washington Parish cause recently added to her contribution.

Whether it was a result of the example Lorraine Bourn set for her son, Dennis, or simply his proximity, state of mind and capabilities when she voiced a wish is not clear. But the impact on the community is certainly significant.

Dennis Bourn has set up Wifi at Cassidy Park. He donated it.

Although the word is just starting to get around, 220 people used the network in January, and those numbers were down slightly from December, the first full month it was available, when the annual Christmas light display attracted large numbers of visitors to the park.
