After Apple SVP Eddy Cue tweeted a couple of Foursquare check-ins, rumors spread that Apple was talking to Foursquare about using its data for local search.

Since then, Cue has been more circumspect on Twitter. But he’s still actively using Foursquare.

While Foursquare users can make their check-ins private or friends-only, the tips they leave are publicly viewable.

Cue had a really bad experience at Il Fornaio, a well-known Silicon Valley restaurant.
