<p>Last evening, CNN's Technology Minute said that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is still a threat to Apple, mostly because the iPhone 5 isn't that much better. However, this column agrees with other users who believe that the Galaxy S3 is actually better than the iPhone 5. Let's take a look and compare the most important aspects of both smartphones.</p><p>Build and design</p><p>The iPhone 5 feels lighter and thinner than the previous iPhone at 112g and 7mm thick. The aluminum/glass construction is gorgeous to look at, but the reduction in weight also makes it feel less less sturdy than the 4S. However, it is likely that there will be less iPhone screens with broken glass this time around.</p><p>Even though the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a 4.8-inch screen and is only 8.6mm thick, it fits perfectly in your hands (provided they are at least medium sized) and feels like a technological candy bar. The volume buttons and power buttons are easy to access, even when holding the device with one hand.
