<p>Grishin Robotics has put a $250,000 infusion into Double Robotics, a start-up that's making telepresence robots. Double Robotics is building a device that's similar to a very small Segway, with an iPad placed on top. It can be controlled remotely so customers can interact with people or objects in another location through the video conferencing capabilities on another iPad. This is the first investment for the robotics-focused venture fund, from Mail.ru founder Dmitry Grishin.</p><p>Onconova Therapeutics, which has just partnered the European rights to its most advanced drug, rigosertib, in a $565 million deal, could file for approval of that product late next year as a treatment for patients who have a blood disease that puts them at high risk of developing leukemia. Onconova is testing the drug in Phase III studies in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes, which are a group of rare blood diseases. The company has just partnered the European rights to the drug to Baxter International in a deal that entitles it to $50 million upfront and the potential to earn $515 million in precommercial development and regulatory milestones. It also could earn sales milestones and royalties.</p><p>Also in today's VentureWire, Venture investors were invited to plug some of their favorite deals at the Dow Jones Private Equity Analyst Conference in New York on Thursday, and a couple of them took the opportunity to disclose some new deals for the first time.
