Thunderbolt Controller More Expensive than USB 3.0

<A href="http://www.maximumpc.com/article/news/thunderbolt_controller_10_times_more_expensive_usb_30" target="_blank">Intel and AMD are getting ready to include the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 spec in their chips</A>. USB 3.0 costs about $1 per device. Thunderbolt currently costs board manufacturers about $10 per device, pricing it out of some markets.
