RIM’s bid for Nortel patents is more than a Google block

<A target="_blank" href="http://www.zdnet.com/blog/btl/rims-bid-for-nortel-patents-is-more-than-a-google-block/47379">Nortel Networks declared bankruptcy and put 6,000 wireless patents on the auction block</A>. Google claims they want to buy the patents to protect themselves from copyright lawsuits. RIM, in consort with other companies, also wants to buy the patents to protect themselves from Google.
