Seismic Siren Shakes Up Distracted Drivers

Police across the country are using a new tool to get your attention – low-frequency sound waves so strong they can be felt up to 200 feet away. Federal Signal makes the seismic sirens, dubbed the Rumbler. The system emits a 10-second, 109-decibel burst through two subwoofers mounted on a patrol car’s bumper.
