Under Worm Assault, Military Bans Disks, USB Drives

Reacting to a rapidly spreading worm, the <A target="_blank" href="http://blog.wired.com/defense/2008/11/army-bans-usb-d.html">Defense Department has suspended the use of thumb drives (USB</A>), CDs, flash media cards, and all other removable data storage devices from their nets. The ban, which applies to both the secret SIPR and unclassified NIPR nets, is supposed to take effect "immediately".
