Christopher Spera has posted a map showing areas of the U.S. where the new iPhone 3G service is available. It seems that 90-95% of the country does NOT have 3G coverage and is therefore NOT going to get the full iPhone 3G experience (i.e. network speeds). Before you sign that contract, you may want to check if your area is covered.
