Corsoft announced expansion of its Warden mobile security software for all devices operating on Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0, which include Pocket PCs and Smartphones. The company expanded their software offering in response to recent statistics revealing that almost one out of three handheld electronic devices are lost each year, and that 90 percent of mobile devices do not have enough data protection to withstand an attack by hackers.

Warden offers two levels of protection. The local lock, enabled while the device is in possession of its owner, provides “in case of emergency” options, including contacts, allergies, medications, and other health information, as well as an option to place an emergency 911 call. It can help the device owner survive an emergency, in case he or she is unable to communicate at that time.
