320GB notebook drive

MacBook and MacBook Pro users looking to stretch the internal storage capacity of their laptops even further may want to consider Western Digital's new Scorpio 320GB 2.5-inch Serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive.

The drive sports a 9.5mm profile and operates at 5400 RPM, with 12 millisecond (ms) access time. It features "WhisperDrive" technology for quiet operation, and uses anti-shock technology to protect the drive mechanics and platter surfaces from shocks. The Scorpio, now available, costs $199.99.
