Data management software maker Mimosa Systems said that it has expanded platform coverage for its browser-based NearPoint 2.1 email archiving product from Microsoft Exchange Server to include support for Mac OS, most Linux distributions, and for RIM BlackBerry, Windows Mobile 5 and Palm OS-based handheld devices. Mimosa CEO T.M. Ravi told eWEEK that NearPoint 2.1 provides the IT industry’s first support for email archiving and legal discovery for handheld wireless devices.
