In a decision viewed as a boost for wireless networks even beyond airports, federal regulators on Wednesday ruled that the Massachusetts Port Authority cannot block a Wi-Fi access point in the Continental Airlines lounge at Boston’s Logan International Airport. The Federal Communications Commission concluded that under a decade-old set of rules governing over-the-air reception devices, or OTARD, the world’s No. 5 airline was well within its bounds to provide the free service.
