Weathernews, provider of mobile weather content, announced the launch of ##the WNI LiveLocal mobile application## at NAB 2006. Now available through Sprint Nextel, LiveLocal is a mobile video application that subscribers download onto their cell phones and use to access content from the WNI Network, including local video broadcasts of news, weather, sports, traffic, and other information. Unlike existing services that deliver national content and network programming, LiveLocal is the only mobile video application that provides subscribers with on-demand, streaming video access to the trusted information from local TV stations right in the palm of their hands.
