Using a $369,000 federal grant, a New Jersey school district <A HREF="http://www.engadget.com/2006/01/24/nj-elementary-schools-implement-iris-scanning-building-access/">hired Eyemetrics Identity Solutions</A> to implement hardware by LG and HP and software by IrisAccess and Newton Security that together form a system which only allows building access to so-called white-listed individuals. Each student is allowed to green-light four people, which puts a cap on the number of folks that have access to a given building.
