Gefen announced the launch of its new Wireless USB Extender, making real-time cable-free USB 2.0 extension a reality. Any USB 2.0 peripheral can be powered from remote distances up to 30 feet from any Apple computer without cables using Gefen’s first-of-its-kind Wireless USB Extender. The unit supports the instantaneous transfer of data using Freescale Semiconductor’s Ultra-Wideband wireless solution and marks the initial release of UWB-enabled products for the U.S. market.
