Site spreading IE malware shut down

An Internet scam that exploits Internet Explorer to steal personal data from users has been thwarted by <A HREF="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1510&ncid=1510&e=9&u=/afp/20040627/tc_afp/us_internet_virus">shutting down a Russian Web site</A> that is suspected of launching the malicious effort, Microsoft says. Download.Ject directed users to a site where their machines could then be infected with a trojan.
