Fingerprint recognition sensors

ALPS Electric is currently developing two types of compact and thin <A HREF="http://www.alps.co.jp/e/press/new2004/0414_e.htm">fingerprint recognition sensors</A> for mobile phones, notebook PCs and other mobile information devices in response to heightened security needs. The pressure sensitive film type of fingerprint recognition sensor is designed to be the thinnest in the world, and the transparent type has a transparent sensor construction, the first commercial product of its kind.
