Gary Ankney at edupalm.org reports in with some changes in pricing at Palm and Sony.
Palm changes:
Depending on which page you visit at the Palm site, the i705’s price has slipped $50 to $149 (only $99 after the $50 rebate), and the m500 has disappeared. Try to buy the m500 (if you can find it), and you’re told it’s temporarily out of stock. Special deals include a free case for the Zire, a $10 16M memory card with the m125, a free Veo camera with the Tungsten T, and $50 AT&T wireless service with the Tungsten W. These deals may be hard to find, so check http://store.palm.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=3D1157580. Find other rebates at http://store.palm.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=3D1180013. Palm is the low-end champ, with three models currently at $99–no other company has an offering below $149.
Sony Changes:
The SJ20 is gone, long live the SJ22? Not quite, it looks as if Sony may keep the SJ20 to anchor the low end at $150 as it introduces the SJ22 at $200 and the TG50 at $400.
