Beam-Me-App program

PalmSource, Inc., Handango, and WideRay, a platform provider for on-premises wireless service management, announced a partnership to enable point-of-sale software distribution solutions for mobile network operators. Under the terms of the new “Beam-Me-App” program, PalmSource will provide an in-store software solution that combines Handango’s software and provisioning technology with WideRay Jacks to create easily deployable beaming kiosks in mobile operator stores. The “Beam-Me-App” programme is customisable for each operator to configure software catalogues and ensure compatibility with backend infrastructure.

UPS tracking with Air2Web

Air2Web announced it is now enabling UPS customers in nine Asian Pacific countries to track their packages anytime, anywhere via UPS’s new SMS (Short Message Service) Tracking Service. Since 2000, UPS customers in the United States have had the ability to wirelessly track their packages, locate drop boxes, and determine transit rates, with the help of Air2Web.
