Fossil, Inc. has licensed the Palm Operating system to produce a Palm Powered watch called the WRIST PDA with Palm OS. The Wrist PDA with Palm OS was announced in mid-November 2002 at COMDEX and was named “Best Of Mobile Devices” at the fall show. Now the company has announced a partnership with Microsoft to develop a new collection of watches incorporating Microsoft Smart Personal Objects Technology (SPOT). The new Fossil watch, powered by SPOT, and available this fall in three branded versions, will enable users to receive and display timely, customized Web content. The watch will provide consumers with instant access to personalized Web information and services broadcast over a new radio receiver solution developed by Microsoft and beamed to the watch.
