Purple Data Cables is now in production with a new line of cables for Visor. These cables directly connect your Visor with a Garmin GPS (Global Positioning System). There are two new model numbers: PLPH-GA (compatible with the following Garmin GPS units – GPS 12, GPS 12CX, GPS12XL, GPS12 MAP, GPS 48, GPS II Plus, GPS III, GPS III Plus, Street Pilot, and Street Pilot ColorMap). The other new model number is PLPH-GE (compatible with the Garmin eTrex and eMap.) These cables are compatible with all of the 8-pin Visors (Solo, Deluxe, Platinum, Prism, Neo, and Pro). This new line of cables utilizes the new Purple Data Cables Low Power Technology. The significance of this new Low Power technology lies in the much lower power consumption as compared to standard RS232 interface cables. They draw less than a tenth of the power.
