We just got a fun letter from Steve Likman, one of our favorite PDA tech support specialists. We thought we’d pass it on to you and ask you to click and help him out:
As many of you know, I am a musician besides being a PDA tech support specialist. My parents always said “get a real job and do your music as a hobby.” So I did. Now, I have an opportunity to make some good money with my music, but I need your support. I am currently listed as an artist on MP3.com using the stage name Git R. Man. During the month of November, a $50,000 bonus is available to those artists who generate 10,000 song plays on their site.
What I need you to do is go to the Git R. Man site on MP3.com. You will see a picture of me, on the right side of the page, looking like I just got out of bed playing the guitar. Just under that picture is a list of songs with little album covers beneath them. The first song listed is called “Git’ It”. This song is currently in the top 10 on the Blues Rock charts and has so far this month garnered 2000 song plays.
All I need you to do is click the Lo Fi Play button for “Git’ It” and allow the song to play for at least 45 seconds. That’s it. If you could do that once a day (if possible) for the rest of November, I should have enough song plays to get the bonus. Of course, I’d like you to do the same for the rest of the songs, but it’s not a requirement (the more song plays the better).
At the end of the month, please send me a message using the Contact page on the Git R. Man site to let me know you participated. If we are successful, those of you who participate will benefit through business ad postings for The PDA Co., holiday gifts, song dedications, and the consumption of some holiday spirits. So, thank you all in advance for your participation and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
We just played his piece and it’s not half bad. Be aware, though, that MP3.com requires you to provide your email address before you can play the track.
