The LS Starrett company has started to resell the DataGet system. As part of the agreement, Tescina, Inc. developed a new DataGet cartridge connecting Starrett gauges to the Visor handheld. The cartridge connects one or two Starrett gauges to the handheld. For example, with a caliper and digital tape measure, cubic volumes of wood stocks can be measured. The AutoWake technology turns on the handheld when a gauge sends data. If the Visor is busy when the data arrives, the measurement is stored on the cartridge until the handheld is ready.
