Called the Active ECG, the unit includes electrodes that attach to the patient, plus a cable that attaches to a Palm handheld. According to the article, the device “sends recorded heart data to the Palm computer where it can be viewed, printed, or transmitted by wired, and eventually, wireless modem to a doctor or perhaps a hospital emergency room.”
