Palm highlights education

Palm has issued a press release noting that handheld computers are the hottest item on many students’ wish lists for graduation this year. From classrooms to dorm rooms, students are arming themselves with handhelds to help them keep track of what’s important and have fun at the same time. “Students today epitomize the mobile lifestyle: They put everything they need in a backpack, and they’re extremely comfortable with technology,” said Mike Lorion, vice president of Vertical Markets at Palm, Inc. “It’s easy to understand why handheld computers, which are wearable, extremely powerful, and cool, have such appeal.”
