Microsoft reaches out to Palm

<A HREF="http://www.infoworld.com/articles/hn/xml/00/10/18/001018hnbalmpalm.xml">InfoWorld</A> also reports that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced that as part of the company's new Internet-based .Net computing services strategy, it will try to put applications such as Word and Exchange on Palm handheld computers and other mobile devices that compete with Microsoft's own Pocket PC technology. According to the article, Ballmer also said that Microsoft doesn't plan to turn away from the Pocket PC technology, saying, "We're 100 percent committed to it."
