Bad timing for handheld problems

The San Jose Mercury News has this story on the Palm IIIc’s cracked cases and the HP Jornada’s color display. The article reports that Palm said Wednesday it has received about 25 reports of its Palm IIIc developing a hairline crack on the back of the casing. The Jornada PocketPC displays just 4,096 colors, not the 65,536 colors HP said the device could display.
