AvantGo joins GAA

AvantGo announced that it has teamed up with Ericsson Inc. and joined the GPRS Application Alliance (GAA), an Ericsson-led initiative to support the creation and adoption of Mobile Internet applications based on the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) standard. Other Alliance members include IBM, Palm Computing, Lotus, Oracle and Symbian. The relationship with Ericsson is a step for Mobile Unity, AvantGo’s strategy to deliver Web-based information and applications to all classes of wireless devices.
