BarPoint.com has partnered with JP Systems’ InfoBeam for the timely delivery of product pricing, purchase and other information over wireless communications devices in a service to debut this fall. This partnership allows mobile users to type or scan product UPC barcodes into a handheld device to wirelessly access BarPoint.com. The 12-digit UPC code can be entered manually on standard Palm OS and Windows CE devices, or can be scanned in handheld devices such as the SPT 1500 by Symbol Technologies.
