The Macromedia User Conference. I almost miss it. Each year I’d go to show off our FileFlex database engine, visit with old friends, and stuff myself with incredible Mexican food. When we sold off FileFlex last year as part of our transformation from Component Software to ZATZ:Pure Internet Publishing, I was pretty convinced that, at least professionally, Macromedia and I would probably not cross paths again. Especially since we’ve now got good Mexican food right here in New Jersey (strange, but true). I might have been wrong. In this interesting article, InfoWorld tells us about a Flash (best known as a vector animation plug-in for your Web browser) demo running on a Palm V. Interesting. Not particularly necessary, but interesting none the less. — DG
