CNET News reports McAfee has begun offering antivirus software called McAfee VirusScan Handheld to protect devices from the threat of bugs written for handheld computers. The software doesn’t run on the handheld itself, rather it runs on the desktop computer and scans the handheld device when files on the PC and handheld are synchronized.
