Palm drops prices

Palm has announced, effective today, that their prices have dropped. Most interestingly, the Palm IIIe is now $149, a magical price point we’ve talked about before. Other prices: Palm IIIe handheld computer now $149, previously $179; Palm IIIx handheld computer now $229, previously $299; Palm V handheld computer now $329, previously $399; Palm Vx handheld computer now $399, previously $449; Palm VII handheld computer now $449, previously $499. Note also the use of “handheld computer”. This is a new way of describing the device straight from Palm’s PR firm.
