<p>If your friends are heavy Foursquare users, there's always that moment after you all arrive at a bar or restaurant when everyone pulls out their phone to check in. Foursquare this week rolled out an update for its iOS and Android apps that should make that process a little quicker.</p><p>"Instead of you and four friends each pulling out your phone to check in at dinner, now one of you can do it for everyone," Foursquare wrote in a Tuesday blog post. "Less time spent on your phone, more time enjoying the moment."</p><p>Foursquare said the new group check-in capability has been users' most requested feature. It comes after the location-based social networking service last year added mentions, letting users tag others in their updates. Since then, Foursquare noticed that more than 90 percent of mentions are used to indicate who a user is with at that moment.</p><p>Now, when you check in, you can tap the button that says "I'm with" to choose your friends from the list. From there, your friends will get a notification asking for permission to let you check them in. If they say yes, they'll be checked in, and you'll be able to check them in in the future without needing permission.
