As a guy who writes about Android, the question I get asked most often -- other than "How do you manage to be so handsome?" -- is "Which Android phone should I get?"

It's an understandable inquiry: As a platform, Android is all about diversity. And while lots of choice is undoubtedly a good thing, it can get a little overwhelming at times -- especially if you don't spend your days reading about (and trying out) nearly every device that enters the world.

So with the holiday season upon us, I thought I'd try to tackle the eternal question and share some device recommendations. Smartphones are personal products, and there is no universal right answer as to which is "the best phone" for everyone. Ultimately, it all comes down to what you want and what's important to you in a device.

Read also:

Android 4.1 headed to DROID RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX HD (GSMArena.com)

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean rollout begins for Droid RAZR HD, RAZR Maxx HD (Engadget)

Droid RAZR HD And RAZR Maxx HD Get Android Jelly Bean (Geeky gadgets)

Explore: 97 additional articles.
