Palm denies NCR charges

<A HREF="http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/micro_stories.pl?ACCT=no&TICK=PALM&STORY=/www/story/03-19-2001/0001450071&EDATE">Palm, Inc.</A> has issued a press release stating the company believes the lawsuit filed March 14, 2001, by NCR Corporation against Palm and Handspring Inc. has no merit. NCR alleged that Palm's and Handspring's handheld computers infringe two NCR-owned patents for a type of "portable personal terminal." Palm was not approached by NCR about the patents prior to filing its suit.
